Frequently Asked Questions

These are some frequently asked questions regarding landscape design, landscape installation and landscape maintenance.
What is the process in requesting a bid/proposal from Arcadia Landscape?
You can call or email us with the nature of your request including your contact information and a convenient time we may contact you by phone. An Arcadia representative will contact you to set an appointment to meet at the jobsite and assess the scope of work. Once we have all the information necessary, a proposal will be prepared and presented in person.
Do I need a landscape design?
If the project is a new installation or renovation of an existing landscape, a landscape design is highly recommended for the successful completion of the project. Once the design is approved, a comprehensive proposal can be submitted using the design to accurately identify all project costs. A landscape design is the blue print for the project and guides the installation process to completion.
Do I need to hire a licensed contractor?
There are several licenses that may be required:

A contractors license issued by the State of Arizona is mandatory when contracting for such jobs as plant, irrigation, hardscapes and low-voltage lighting installation or removals. A contractors license may be checked at the Registrar of Contractors website to insure that the license is in good standing and it will also list any complaints.

A contractor that applies chemicals for turf and ornamental pest and weed control must be properly licensed by the Arizona Department of Agriculture Office of Pest Management.

A contractor should carry general liability insurance and workers’ compensation insurance to protect the client.

What sort of on-going customer care can I expect?
Arcadia started as a service-oriented business and that continues to be fundamental in every aspect of all we do.
